Precision Machine Design of a Rotor Core Assembly Machine

Precision Machine Design of a Rotor Core Assembly Machine

In need of a machine that would automate the assembly of rotor core components, a client in the electric motor industry turned to JB Tool, Die & Engineering, Inc. to take advantage of our experience in building precision machinery. Working closely with the client’s specifications, our precision machine design team engineered a rotor core assembly machine that would include steps such as assembling the center shaft to the body, inspecting for pin presence and depth, testing the core, and unloading. We employed many of our in-house capabilities in the building of this piece of equipment including CNC machining, grinding, welding, heat treating, and assembly. On this project we worked with tolerances of .0002″. Our engineering staff built and programmed the controls system and the unit was fully tested before delivery to the customer.

JB Tool & Die is committed to delivering the highest quality products in the industry. For more details about this project, see the table below or contact us.
