Welcome to the JB Tool, Die & Engineering, Inc. web site. While we are relative newcomers to the Internet and World Wide Web, we are a long standing leader in our industry. We are always open to innovation and the latest in technology, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
We have acquired the domain name www.jbtool.com. It was previously assigned to the former J.B. Tool and Machine Company in Wapakoneta, Ohio. We have no association with that entity, other than acquiring the domain name. We do not have any information regarding their past or present business dealings.
JB Tool, Die & Engineering opened for business in 1962 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. With five employees the company started a reputation for excellence. By 1965 the company had grown enough to cause a move to a new facility. From 1962 until today, JB Tool has expanded the facility three more times and currently is occupying a three building campus over 60,000 square feet, and employs nearly 100 craftsman.
Since the company's inception, a strong tradition of training and quality, continues to be our corporate culture. Dedicated to providing the best possible products and services to our customers, we are an active participant in community training programs. JB Tool started putting young employees through a tool & die program in 1963. Our program is sanctioned by the Bureau of Apprenticeship Training, Department of Labor. Guided by highly qualified and experienced tool makers, the apprentices receive a minimum of 8,000 hours of "on-the-job" training. Along with four years of related classroom training, it enables them to achieve journeyman certification. Many of our graduates are still with the company working in all aspects of the business; management, engineering, sales, as well as top die makers, machinists, and machine builders. Some graduates that have ventured on their own are now shop owners, supervisors, and engineers with other firms.
